Ellen’s Famous Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Preheat oven to 330 to 350 degrees (depending on how hot your ovens run!)

I usually put it in this order:

2 sticks unsalted butter, softened

Cinnamon – at least 1 ½ tsp

¾ cup sugar

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

2 eggs

1 tsp. baking soda

1 ½ tsp. vanilla

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

2 ++ cups chocolate chips

Place on cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes. I check to be sure they are light brown on the edges. We don’t like them well done! Let sit for 20-30 seconds so you can remove from the pan easily.

Place on wire racks to cool or eat immediately with milk in a glass from the freezer!!!

(HINT: I have kept cookie dough in the refrigerator overnight to have a second fresh batch of cookies the next day!)
