Broccoli Pea Casserole Recipe

Mom’s Broccoli Pea Casserole (from Joan Gefen)


1 box frozen broccoli

1 box frozen peas

1 can Cream of Mushroom soup

1 heaping Tablespoon of Cheese Whiz

1 – 1½ pieces of bread – can be lightly toasted

1/8th pound (half a stick) butter or margarine – melted

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Cook the vegetables just to DEFROST by steaming, boiling or microwaving

Drain the veggies

Put Cream of Mushroom soup in a pan over a low heat and add Cheese Whiz. Stir until melted.

Put drained vegetables into soup mixture

Pour soup/veggie mixture into buttered casserole

Tear bread into small pieces and put on top of soup/veggie mixture

Drizzle melted butter over bread and entire casserole

Bake at 325 degrees for 30-45 minutes
