Inspiration on the Family Ranch

Denise and her family love to spend a lot of time outdoors at their newly renovated ranch in Texas, called Flintlock Ranch. The landscape and slower pace of life reconnected her with memories from her childhood and ignited a creative spark that ultimately shaped this collection.

The “Handsome Femininity” Aesthetic

She describes her aesthetic as “handsome femininity,” a balance of strength and softness. Think refined but not fussy, elegant yet comfortable. In this collection, you’ll find thistles and vines, blackberries, foxgloves, and even grouse motifs. It’s a mix that feels grounded in nature, feminine without being overly sweet, and effortlessly stylish.

The collection appeals to all the senses with rich hues, intricate embroidery, soft velvets, and textures that invite you to touch and stay awhile. Inspired by the ever-changing Texas light and the textures of the land, Denise has poured heart and soul into every piece.

Spotlight on Luxury Jacquard Pindo

One highlight is Pindo, a luxury jacquard velvet fabric, inspired by a vine on the ranch and the way sunlight filters through raindrops. It captures a feeling of reflection and warmth, perfect for cozy yet sophisticated interiors.

Sheer Beauty With Liana

Sheers also get their moment in the spotlight. Liana, originally designed as an embroidered pattern, now appears as a sheer fabric featuring the spiky beauty of wild thistles from the Flintlock pastures. It filters light beautifully, adding a soft, natural glow to any room.

In a world where design is shifting toward intimate, soulful spaces, Denise McGaha’s textile collection for Vervain Fabrics is a standout. Rooted in nature and personal story, it’s where laid-back luxury meets timeless design. From ranch life to refined living, each piece brings a sense of calm, connection, and comfort, and each fabric, a story to tell.
